My internet will probably be shut off today, as my brother and I are switching ISPs (Charter's cheapest service is apparently like $44 a month....screw that). So if you want to talk to me, you'll just have to call.

The last time Dan came over to visit kitty (Clarice) he said that he thinks he's going to buy her some toys (just likes to remind me of the fact that she's still
his cat, I guess). But you know, I think she does just fine entertaining herself with the stuff laying around the apartment.
Just minutes ago, for example, she batted/pushed/dragged an empty plastic bag to the hallway, where she proceeded to crawl into it, circle around, and bat at the handles. She's abandoned it now, but she also enjoys batting at air soft bb's lying around the apartment (a result of my brother) and tearing apart random pieces of Victoria's Secret tissue paper she finds on my bedroom floor. And she was enthralled for weeks by a bit of guitar string that somehow escaped the trash after the last time the guitar got new strings.
That was rather entertaining for me, too, because the string was difficult to see, and from a distance it looked like she was pawing and biting on nothing. I finally took it away from her though after coming to the realization that the ends were sharp, and I'd rather not have her accidentally jam them down her throat.
I'm just glad she doesn't chew through strings/straps/laces like Matt's cat does.

My brother wants to move to Arizona. His friend went out there to visit and found a job already, and in a month or so my brother would like to follow. But he's only going to go if I can find someone to take his place for one or two months (May and June) until the lease is up (at the end of June).
So if you like my apartment and want to live with me, lemme know. There are a few rules, of course:
1-you cannot be Chris, because honestly, I don't think I could deal with you on a daily basis.
2-you cannot annoy me, trash the place, drink all the time, smoke in the apartment, take/use my stuff with out asking, etc.
3-you gotta respect my privacy.
4-you gotta be responsible and pay the rent on time. Rent right now would be $228.50 a month, plus half of the electric bill (which is usually between $30-$40 total per month) and half of groceries (which varies depending on how much we eat).
You wouldn't have to bring dishes or furniture or towels or anything like that cuz I've got it already (but if you want to anyway, that's cool too).
And who knows, if it works out, I might agree to sign a new lease in June with you on the other half (if you're looking for something more permanent). Otherwise, once June comes I'm not sure what I'm gonna do because I can't afford this place by myself. I might have to look into the one-bedrooms and see if they'll cut me some kind of a deal. Unless of course this modelling thing works out and they want me to move to NYC or Chicago. Then I'll have a different set of problems.
PS. I have a cat. She's good and doesn't usually scratch on anything (except the couch), but she has been known to eat plant leaves if she can get to them.

A talent scout found me on myspace, of all places, last week sometime (like Sunday or Monday) and sent me a message saying I have a great look. She invited me to an invitation-only open call thing for models/actors at this agency called
One Source Talent. So I went on Thursday night; they took measurements and a few pictures then told us about all the things they do (they work with aspiring models and actors; get them exposure, get them roles on tv shows, in commercials, signed to big modeling companies, and various other things). Then they met with us one on one again; the guy that interviewed me (who is a talent scout as well as an aspring model/actor/something) also liked my look (and he was definitely checking me out, even as he interviewed me) and had me come back for a "final interview" the next day.
So Friday afternoon I went back; the VP herself interviewed me and told me she really liked my face and that I had sort of an exotic look (my height didn't hurt anything either) sort of like her favorite girl that they'd signed recently. But I have to change my hair, she told me (the red's faded to a weak pink and it's started to grow out so you can see the roots). But she signed me, and upon finding out my plans for a trip to Chicago in early April, suggested that I meet with a few agents the morning I get there if I have time. In the meantime I have to dye my hair and get some pics taken of me. I also go back to the building (which is down in Troy - a good hour and a half one way from here) on April 5 so they can take a few shots of me to upload.
So...yeah. You can see me on the website if you want; just click
here and then in the box that says "talent lookup" (at the very top) put in the number "12034." The picture they've got up of me now is terrible but I've added a couple more that I took myself awhile back.
So that was the main part of my busy week. The weekend included a trip to Mt Pleasant for Veresh's birthday then a bonfire at Jon's since he's off to the National Guard like tomorrow. Both were mildly entertaining, but I forgot to bring my camera in for Veresh's shindig. I've got some good shots from Jon's though.

Veresh's birthday party is this friday night and I've been instructed to bring a posse. Anyone who wants to come with me to Mt Pleasant (or meet up with us once we're there) lemme know.
Also, next weekend, Dan's 21st birthday party, starting Saturday night at midnight. BE THERE!

Somehow March ended up being the month for parties, apparently. Anna had her spring break party Friday night (with a bit of pre-partying Thursday night). Veresh's birthday/St. Patrick's Day party is this Friday night. And the weekend after that is Dan's birthday party. Taking off all these weekends at Old Navy has really put a dent in my paychecks from them (especially since I mainly work weekends there) but after some contemplation I've decided that it's worth it.
Today's the last day of spring break, which is quite the disappointment, but the end of the school year is in sight, I suppose. The week of April 24 is exam week, which means less than 2 months to go. Plus I've got Chicago coming up April 7, I'm pretty excited about that. I'll have to look over the work coming up for my classes so I can get ahead and not have any homework to do that weekend. With Dan working his ridiculous shift, I won't have anything better to do. Now if I can just get myself motivated...

This weekend the lovely MI temperatures will reach a grand high of 50-some degrees starting Thursday and running through Sunday. I find this exciting.
I want to go out and wander old town this week and take some pictures; anyone want to come with me? I was thinking either Wednesday afternoon or Thursday. Possibly tomorrow depending on how long my eye dr. appt takes in stc (it's at 415), since Kelly hasnt told me yet what she's doing. I don't really wanna go by myself, but I don't know a whole lot of people who'd be interested in walking around and taking pictures. If Jeff wasn't impossible to get ahold of, I'd ask him if he wants to come when he gets out of work Wednesday. But anyone who might want to come, let me know.
Also, anyone that wants to do something Thursday or Friday, get ahold of me. I have both days off and Dan is working a retarded new shift (temporarily) that kills any possiblity of making plans with him for either day. Friday night party at Anna's! I might go up a day early if nothing's going on around here. We'll see. There may be a trip to Great Lakes Crossing in the works for Friday during the day if I can get Ryan to switch dates (this way none of us will have to take time off from work at the school).
Yeah, I know, nobody cares.
Oh, I almost forgot. Saturday March 25 (well, technically Sunday the 26 I guess) starting at midnight, Dan is having his 21st birthday party at his and Matt's apartment. Runs through the duration of Sunday, according to Dan and Matt, or until everyone has passed out. Whatever. Anyway, Dan's birthday party, be there and stuff.
That is all.
