Well, this is it. Day one of class. I have to leave in a few minutes because I've got a few books to buy still...sigh. I saved the most expensive ones for last, boo. I might still try to locate some cheaper copies online...we'll see.

On a brighter note, as of today Jake and I have been together for two whole months. Go us! I could take this opportunity to ramble about how wonderful I think he is, but I'll save it for later. :P We went to the Ren Fest this weekend with his friend Eric, who got us in free, which was cool. But then he threw us in jail, which wasn't so cool. He was just going to get Jake, but when Jake got him back the jailer convinced him to get me too. So all three of us went and sang "Itsy Bitsy Spider."

And, like I mentioned before, as of Friday at about 630pm pacific time, my brother is a married man. My mom has promised to get me pictures since I couldn't be there.

Yet again things are going in my favor financially; SVSU revised my bill and only charged me $90 instead of the original $369 I expected to owe. Now I have more money to buy books, woo!

Ugg. School starts in a week and a half. I'm not excited. Slightly intrigued, maybe, but not excited. On a brighter note, the weekend before that Jake and I are going to the Renaissance Festival with his friend Eric (and some other people too, I think) so if you're in the area the 25th/26th, you should come.

Oh, and I nearly forgot the biggest news: my brother is getting married next Friday. How's that for unexpected?

Maybe it's karma, I don't know, but I looked at my financial situation again and realized that I'd miscalculated on my bills. Instead of having $17 left over, I had $50. Plus my paycheck tomorrow is going to be just over $600, which means I can pay SVSU and still have a couple hundred left over. Yessss....

And Jake is back now, after much ado (well, it felt like it to me anyway). I acquired a copy of the last Harry Potter which got me through a couple hours yesterday and probably will again tonight.

Clarice had her surgery yesterday also. The vet called me when she was up and around. She only weighs five pounds; that's adorable to me for some reason. She comes home tomorrow.

Anna, you need to start exercising or something so that I can give you my old clothes again. Unless Kelly wants them. I need to find someone to give them to. I've got a lot of other junk that I still need to take to Goodwill or something but it's going to have to wait a few more days, I think.

Oh, and I've lost my phone, as of this morning. Hopefully temporarily. One minute it was in my pocket and the next it wasn't anymore, and I have yet to locate it. But I'm not as concerned as I'd usually be because I CAN AFFORD A NEW ONE NOW. This brings me great joy. :P

UPDATE:
I found my phone, it was alive and well on the floor behind the driver's seat of my car. I suppose it's for the better, I don't need a new phone right this second anyway... *sigh*

The internet is being a little goopy tonight. It's Friday night, people should be out and about, not sitting home on their computers!

Except for me. I have to work tomorrow at 8am.

My step-mom had both of her knees replaced a few weeks ago, and she still hasn't recovered to the point where she can comfortably ride in or drive a car. So today after work I went out and picked up the little sister and took her shopping for school stuff. We went to Old Navy and got her some clothes (Friends and Family discount weekend is going on; if you want a [20% off] card stop in tomorrow or Sunday, I'll be there both days) then to Staples and Wal-Mart for pens, pencils, folders, etc. While we were doing the self-checkout thing at Wal-Mart, Janessa noticed a $20 bill just sitting sort of wedged on the front of the checkout lane. We didn't know what to do with it since the person in line before us was long gone, so we kept it. Well, I let Janessa keep it since she technically found it. I was a little reluctant, as I could use $10 (we were going to split it), but at least my conscience is clear.

Jake is off in Canada for a family reunion this weekend and won't be back til Monday, so I have to find ways to occupy myself for a couple days. Today was the first day I've gone without seeing him at all in weeks. It's a little strange.

Clarice (my cat) goes in Monday morning to get fixed and declawed. Then I can bring her home. I think I'm going to bring her home tomorrow anyway so she can get used to the new place beforehand. I think she's mad at me for leaving her at Jake's for so long; she's fairly standoffish when I visit. Or maybe it's the fact that there are other cats around to preoccupy her. I'm a little concerned about leaving her alone here all the time. I'm hardly ever home and it's only going to get worse once school starts. Maybe I'll get her a companion. I'm sure Liz and the landlords would love that.
