I suspect that I'm coming down with something. I'm very achey (achy?) and seem to have developed a cough.

I keep reading on Dippy's and Joe's websites about how they all take trips to the Red Eye and the Texan. Both of which are within 10 minutes of our apartment. Yet they never call and invite us...

I made mention of this in my poetry class and my friend Scott said, "I'll invite you out to the Red Eye sometime." Turns out he's pretty much been a regular there for about 5 years now, and somehow our paths never crossed. It came up when he mentioned a born-again Christian named Jasper (it was in context of our conversation, not just at random) and I said, "the one that hangs out at the Red Eye a lot?" Yep, that's him.

I haven't been to the Red Eye just to hang out since probably... actually, I remember exactly when. It was after the Spring play for drama in May of last year . Dan and I were broke up at the time but still went together with a group of other people. I don't think I've been there since, except to stop in with Ryan once for a quick Sexual Chocolate while we were supposed to be tutoring at the school. We had to take our time cards to the Board of Ed (hooray for the incompetent time-card collector, whatever his or her official title might be) and the temptation was just too great.

Maybe I'll make a stop out there on my way home from work next week. I should have a little more time now that it's officially my

SPRING BREAK! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

your mom goes to college

One more week til spring break. Guess who can't wait (hint: ME).

Dan and I went to Shooters Friday night. Jon and Matt bailed on us, so we took Chris. I beat him in like 3 straight games of pool, then kicked his @$$ at air hockey. The dance floor was packed, as apprently it was Mardi Gras night. Some girl came up to me and was like, "You want some beads?" I was like, "Sure." Then I realized what she wanted as she asked, "Aren't you gonna show me?" I said, "I don't want them that bad." Psh, the bouncer gave them to me for free. He was like, "You can show me if you want to though." I said, "My boyfriend would probably slap me..." He laughed and said, "Yeah, most of the girls say that." I stole some more from my friend Shannon, who showed up again. Which was cool, because that meant I had someone to dance with - Dan danced with me some too, but it's really not his thing.

My car needs a new wheel bearing again. I was a little hesitant to tell my dad, thinking that it was because I never did go and get a wheel alignment like I was supposed to. But he said that shouldn't have caused it, especially not in the three months since it was last changed. So, instead of going back to Advance Auto Parts (where the last two came from), I've gotta get one from somewhere else. Which is another $50 that I don't have...thank God for plastic, I guess.

Speaking of plastic, never get a credit card from First Financial Bank. They find ways to take your money every which way you turn (I realize all credit cards do this, but they seem a little worse than my others). Plus when I tried to sign up for online bill pay, they tried to tell me that my particular bank branch location doesn't exist, which means to pay my bill electronically, I'd have to do it by phone. Which of course costs a fee. That card's getting cancelled after they apply my last payment to the balance, and I can't wait.

New version of blogger lets me change font color. How exciting.

My English 300 class, however, is not the least bit exciting. But it is in a computer lab. The temptation is just too much. Alas, here I am. In the back row where no one can see what's on my screen.

Last night Kurtis stood me up at the movies. Granted, I was about 10 minutes late, but still. I didnt want to leave my class early. I called the number in my phone which I thought might be his cell phone (he used to have a prepay; I have no idea if he's used it in recent history) and ended up getting his sister's house. So I talked to his brother-in-law for an hour and a half. I miss those guys; before we hung up he said we'd have to come over sometime for a movie night or something. They only live like 5 minutes away from me now.

Spring break is the week after next. I don't have the money to take a trip anywhere (unless it's like a weekend to somewhere within driving distance - Canada, anyone?), but I'm hoping for at least a party or something. I guess if all else fails I'll have Shooter's night.

Does anyone want to do something this Friday? I have the day off.

Uh....Happy Valentine's day. And stuff.

So Dan broke his hand by punching a pool table at Shooter's....pretty funny story, actually. I just dunno about guys sometimes...lol.

I'm very close to quitting my job working at the school. The only reason I didn't walk out today was because I need the money. Apparently the principal had a meeting with Ryan yesterday (thanks for picking the day I wasn't there [not you, Ryan, I know you didn't really have a say]) and wants us to call all these parents and whatnot because students aren't coming to our room for tutoring. But they would be coming if they knew that they could, but they don't know that because the principal didn't give us a room at the beginning of the year when the students were all asking about it.

Not to mention we're getting different directions from all of our supervisors, and despite 394875 meetings, nothing's changing there. I feel bad for the few students that we do have, because they're benefitting from our help. But going to help 2 students for one hour a day seems like a waste of my time and the district's money.

So that was my morning. I'm hoping my teachers let me out early in honor of VD, but who knows.

I finally have the internet back. So here I am! I can already see it's going to cause me to procrastinate on my homework even worse than I was before.

My last couple Friday nights have been spent at Shooter's, where I've discovered that if Matt and Jon drink enough, they'll dance with me. And perhaps it's the fact that I have "a bit" to drink myself, but I find it immensely entertaining (not to mention I love dancing anyway). Last night Jon was attempting to intoxicate me via $2 Long Islands, but I'm not a huge fan of Long Islands...so I got Matt to drink most of mine for me. Dan bought me a (rather strong) fuzzy navel and a Sex on the Beach - I ended up not spending any money either night, actually (aside from cover the first night), which was a little surprising because I promised Matt and Jon drinks if they came last night. Eh well.

Oh, and we race and play pool and air hockey too. And Dan, Matt, Jon, and Rob attempt to punch each other multiple times (those at my birthday party know the game...).

One thing that sucks though, we lost my camera last night. I was rather relieved to see that I forgot to take the memory card, so I still have all my pictures, but damn, that's $300 worth of camera that got up and walked off. I'm still hoping Shooter's will find it, but Dan never called them back after getting the answering machine this morning.

Pictures from last time:

I love that last picture; I'm not sure why but it makes me smile.

I'm sort of hoping to make Shooter's a weekly tradition, but I guess that depends on the guys...

Well, the fact that I am ridiculously busy and the fact that I don't have internet at the house yet have kept me from updating. I'll have internet back next Saturday morning though (a friggin' week away...charter sucks...) so I should be back in full force by then. Otherwise, if you wanna talk to me, leave me comments or call me.
